JoJo is an accomplished guitarist, singer/songwriter, as well as an arranger and producer. He has a unique ability to take the listener on musical journeys through many countries while always having them feel "at home." His musical influences include every style and genre, from classical guitar, to jazz and rock. In 1996, JoJo released an album titled Brother Time through Pony Canyon Records of Japan, which received tremendous airplay on radio throughout Tokyo and Osaka. JoJo’s newest project, Terra Negra, is a blend of jazz harmonic overtones with Afro-Latin rhythms mixed with a funky edge. This album is world project produced and performed by one man, JoJo Alves.
